David Russell, Jr., Managing Director, has a unique set of skills that have been acquired over more than thirty five years in business. From 1967 to 1991 he was engaged in various aspects of the securities industry. During this period, he rose from a position as a bond broker to managing trading, sales and syndication for fixed income and equity securities including underwriting and corporate finance.
Mr. Russell held positions as a partner of Cowen & Co. (1974 to 1981), managing partner of his own firm, Russell & Co. (1981 to 1985), principal of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1985 to 1989) and Jeffries & Co. (1989 to 1991). In addition to becoming thoroughly familiar with the securities industry with licenses as principal, financial and operations officer, and, branch management, Mr. Russell firmly established his credentials over the years as a builder of new and profitable businesses.
Mr. Russell received his MBA in Finance from New York University in 1971, completed his masters program in Political Science at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1967 and received his B.A. in History from SUNY Binghamton in 1963.
